Big Fish Pie

Homemade cheesy potato fish pie on a cooking rack/tray

Big fish-little fish-here we have it.

Ingredients:

  • One large tin of mackerel use only some of the juice.
  • Peel 800g of potatoes and boil then mash.
  • Mash in the mackerel, season with salt and pepper.
  • I added a mix of chilli garlic and black pepper.
  • Sprinkle with grated cheddar-I used 100g.

This is the simplest fish pie you will make!

This big dish is equal to 4 or 5 of them bought fish pies at a guess but has a much higher percentage of fish. This contains approx 30% fish whereas Youngs contains only about 15%. go figure? cost £2
