Ingredients
- Half a bunch of fresh coriander
- 1 large onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 fresh chillies (optional)
- 500g of minced chicken
- 1 tablespoon tomato puree
- 1 tablespoon sumac
- 1/2 teaspoon each of salt, cumin, oregano, chilli powder, cinnamon powder, ground coriander,
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Method
- In a food processor, add 1/2 a bunch of coriander, 1 large onion roughly chopped, 3 garlic cloves and 2 chillies (optional). Chop for a few seconds.
- Empty this into a large bowl *and add 500g of chicken mince and 1 tablespoon of tomato paste.
- Now add 1 tablespoon of sumac 1/2 teaspoon each of salt, cumin, oregano, chilli powder, cinnamon powder and ground coriander,
- Mix in 1 tablespoon of olive oil and give it a good mix using your hands.
- Make the chicken mince into large meatballs then push down with your fingers to flatten them slightly.
- Line an oven tray and grease with oil.
- Place in the oven or grill at 200 degrees for 20 minutes making sure you turn both sides.
They should be golden in colour. If you want to freeze these then place them In a airtight container and can be frozen up to 3 months.
