Home-made Spreadable Butter

A white person buttering bread with a knife, wearing a chefs red apron and black top

A cheaper option to buying it ready made

Ingredients

  • 250g of butter-allow to go soft in a warm room (do not microwave)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of veg oil/sunflower oil/olive oil-it is up to you.
You may wish to use more for a softer spread

Method

Beat it together until fully combined using either a balloon whisk or a hand mixer.

Put into a container-a spread one or a takeaway type one and chill in the fridge.
This now gives you approx 300g of spreadable butter

  1. That sounds so easy, a spreadable butter, at a reasonable price, without additives.
I think I’m going to halve the ingredients and give it a go! 🤔
    Thanks Pat. x
